Proverbs or Idioms related to Raw and Cooked

生米煮成熟饭 (shēng mǐ zhǔ chéng shú fàn)
比喻事情已经做成了,不能再改变。
This means raw rise has been cooked. It's an analogy that things have been done and cannot be changed.

茹毛饮血 (rú máo yǐn xuè)
《礼记·礼运》:未有火化,食草木之食,鸟兽之肉,饮其血,茹其毛,未有麻丝,衣其羽皮。
茹:吃。用来描绘原始人不会用火,连毛带血地生吃禽兽的生活。
Depict the life that the primitive eat birds and beasts with fur and blood when they cannot use fire.

烹龙炮凤 (pēng lóng páo fèng)
·李贺《将进酒》诗:烹龙炮凤玉脂泣,罗屏绣幕围香风。
烹:煮;炮:烧。形容菜肴极为丰盛、珍奇。
The idiom means cooking dragon and phoenix. It’s used to describe the food is rich and rare.

《论语•乡党十八》(lún yǔ)—— 孔子(kǒng zǐ)

“君赐食,必正席先尝之。君赐腥,必孰而荐之。君赐生,必畜之。侍食于君,君祭,先饭。”

【译】国君赐给熟食,孔子一定摆正座席先尝一尝。国君赐给生肉,一定煮熟了,先给祖宗上供。国君赐给活物,一定要饲养起来。同国君一道吃饭,在国君举行饭前祭礼的时候,一定要先尝一尝。

(Traslation of the red part) When his prince stint him raw meat as a present, he would have it cooked and then offer it first in sacrifice before his ancestors.
